So, there I was the other day refilling my bird feeders when a flock of ravenous birds nearly mauled me.
Alone, I walk in silent footsteps atop fragrant thyme, away from the din of humanity. Here, I am safe and calm, in this tranquil paradise amidst the lilies, and the daisies, and the lilacs, and the marigolds. I wait for them to arrive. The hummingbirds and wrens. The fireflies and toads. The ants and the honeybees. And of course, the butterflies. In my sanctuary, my soul roams freely.
