Dr. Pam Stephens Lehenbauer, Ph.D., MBA, PMHNP – BC, is an epidemiologist, researcher, nurse practitioner, adjunct professor, and popular guest speaker. She is also a Master Gardener, Certified Home Horticulturalist, and conservationist who has won several awards for gardening, landscaping, and creating sustainable wildlife habitats. Pam is the creative voice behind the blog, Mother Nature’s Apprentice, and writes about topics related to gardening, health, nature and the environment, quirky science, and life – often with a healthy dose of humor. Her first book, Wonder and Joy for the Wired and Tired (2025), has been on Amazon’s Non-Fiction Best Seller lists numerous times. She is now writing a fictional rom-com set in New England that will be available in late 2026/early 2027.
Pam is married to Marty, a family doctor, who is kind, funny, infinitely patient, and also a nature lover. They are the natural and adopted parents of several human and non-human children who walk, fly, flutter, swim, crawl, and burrow. They live and garden on a small acreage in beautiful northern Kentucky.
